Shipping Your Materials

If you're unable to visit in person, you can ship your archive materials to us. We recommend using tracked and insured shipping for valuable or irreplaceable items.

Upon arrival, we'll confirm receipt via email and provide an estimated completion timeline. Your original materials will be returned using the same secure shipping method, with insurance covering full replacement value.

Before shipping, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss your project scope and receive preparation guidelines for different media types.

Common Questions

How long does digitization take?

Most projects are completed within two to four weeks of receiving your materials. Large collections or complex restoration work may require additional time, which we'll communicate during the consultation phase.

Are my materials safe during the process?

Yes. Every item is tracked individually through our system, handled only by trained staff, and stored in climate-controlled conditions. We maintain full insurance coverage for materials in our care, and your originals are returned in the same condition they arrived.

What formats will I receive my digital files in?

Photos are delivered as high-resolution JPEG files (and TIFF upon request). Videos are converted to MP4 format compatible with all modern devices. Documents become searchable PDFs. Audio recordings are provided as MP3 files with optional WAV format for archival purposes.

Can you repair damaged photographs or tapes?

We can digitally restore many types of photograph damage including tears, stains, and fading. For physical tape damage, we have equipment to handle common issues like broken cassette shells or stretched tape. Severely damaged items are assessed individually, and we'll always discuss options before proceeding.

Do you offer pickup service?

For large collections within the Bristol area, we can arrange secure pickup. Contact us to discuss your collection size and location to determine if this service is available for your project.
